Please research the breed carefully!

They are beautiful dogs BUT they do bark, wander, and can be protective of their home.

They are wonderful with children but require a fenced in yard. Most are found as strays in the south because they wander!!!

Are you prepared to have white fur on your furniture and clothes? Do you wear alot of black? Not any more, these guys do shed, alot!

Can you handle slobber? Not all the pyrs drool but some do more than others especially when feeding or nervous.

Do you live in a busy neighborhood with houses nearby? Pyrs will bark, some bark alot, at everything. What will the neighbors think?

Pyrs are very stubborn independent thinkers. Great Pyrenees were bred to guard, not herd, livestock on the pyrenees mountains. Therefore they need to be able to think for themsleves. They don't always do what you want them to do.

These guys have already been thru alot, we don't want them to have to find another home if yours doesn't work
